Why are tickets available only by season subscription?

We are often asked why our concerts are sold by series subscription only.  While it would be nice to pick and choose among the incredible performances, subscription sales allow us to obtain the best world-class talent by guaranteeing, in advance, part of the financial resources required.  Additionally, subscription sales substantially reduce administrative and publicity resource requirements.

The total cost of your subscription, only $75 for four fabulous performances, is less than a single ticket for some of these artists’ performances in larger city venues.  The TCA series price is indeed a bargain.

As an additional benefit to series subscribers, a limited number of single concert tickets are available for out of town guests at $25.

If seating is available ten minutes before curtain time, we will sell individual non-subscriber tickets to the performance for $35.

We hope you will understand that advance planning and a devoted subscriber audience has allowed us to maintain the presentation of world class music to this community for 55 years.  We hope to see you and your friends for the brilliant 2009-2010 season.

PS: As a subscriber, if are unable to attend an individual concert let us know in advance, turn in your ticket, and we'll send you a receipt that you may be able to use as a charitable deduction on your next tax return.
